Don't Lose the Will to Fight

We give up

We give in

We tire out

We sleep in

When we lose the will to fight

We close up

We lock in

We won't stand

We won't win

When we lose the will to fight

We run away

We hide

We ignore our strength

We cry

When we lose the will to fight

We forget who we are

We forget the battle is won

We forget that we're art

We forget the Son

We drop our sword

We drop our shield

We turn to retreat

We chose to not feel

And we run from it - we flee from the fight

We chose ease

We chose deceit

We chose comfort

We lack belief

We ran from it - we ignored the fight

We missed the victory

We missed the change

We missed the big story

We set our own stage

We could've seen miracles

We could've seen God

He loves to love us

We would've been awed

His plan was better

He's the Healer of hearts

He knew what we needed

He was there from the start

He wanted us to see

He wanted us to win

He gave us the tools

His Spirit within

We'll never know the mountains

We could've moved with faith

We'll experience healing

But in a different way

He still loves and forgives

He still wants our best

But we miss a grand adventure

When we settled for less

...When we lost the will to fight
